Profile:
Flip Pallot
Host/Fly-fishing Expert
In his youth, Flip Pallot was encouraged to follow in his
father's footsteps as a banker in South Florida. Only one little
hitch...THE CALL OF THE WILD. When he should have been studying
numbers and letters, he found himself studying fish and deer
trails in the Everglades. Although he did try banking, it lasted
only long enough for him to realize that it was the outdoors
that made his spirits soar.
The outdoors indeed became Flip's life and through the years he
has become the leading authority and teacher of fly fishing and
fly casting. More than just an angler, Flip is one of the most
skilled hunters to have ever stepped into the woods.
Flip joins long-time friend Glen Lau
in the
series, a unique program concept, which is certain to give viewers
a very fresh look at what really keeps Flip's campfire burning.
"Flip
Pallot's Memories, Mangroves & Magic" is a
beautiful 11" x 14"coffee-table format book that has
over 150 spectacular color photos by the best fishing
photographers and illustrations by famous Keys' artist Tim Borski.
These are memories of the early days of light tackle saltwater
fishing.
This book takes you to those destinations, and beyond! Meet the
early saltwater fishing pioneers, read Flip's first-hand tales of
humor, discovery, and intrigue as new locations and techniques
were discovered by those first adventuresome fly-fishermen. One of
those greats, Lefty Kreh, contributes a wonderful introduction to
the book.
Flip loves the sport almost to the exclusion of all other
earthly delights. And he tells a tale in his own inimitable style
a style that captures the spirit of the sport and its people. Let
him guide you to some of the world's best saltwater fishing
destinations so you can feel the magic too!
